What do you do?
Marketing Director for the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.

How did you get involved in Manchester Pride?
I was asked, out of the blue!  Being a mum and a lesbian, I’ve only been (back) in Manchester for five years, and have never been lured into the event itself even though plenty of friends (gay and straight) say it’s a highlight of the social calendar.  When I was invited to join the Board, I was thrilled for the opportunity to help broaden the appeal and help develop some of the activities outside the clubbing and drinking (though I also like to party!).

How long have you been a Board member?
Since June 2008. I am a Pride Virgin, as it were

What are your aspirations for Manchester Pride?
I want to see more money coming to the charities, a more diverse range of people and events and a better awareness and community involvement across the city.
