Tim Pickstone

What do you do?
I’m currently Chief Executive of a UK local councillors organisation. Until 2006 I worked for George House Trust and was Chair of “Operation Fundraiser”.

How did you get involved in Manchester Pride?
Through George House Trust I’ve been involved in some way in the August Bank Holiday weekend since 1991. This has included organising floats, campaigns, the Vigil and for the last six years involved in the charitable fundraising side of Pride.

How long have you been a Board member?
Since September 2004.

What are your aspirations for Manchester Pride?
To continue to be the best LGBT pride event in the country, and continue our proud tradition of being the UK’s biggest LGBT fundraising event.

Manchester’s gay community is rightly proud of what its achieved in it’s August Pride event. As we continue to take the event forwards I’m proud to be involved in such an important festival.
