BIRTHDAY BALLOON RELEASE

Celebrations begin for Manchester Pride's 18th Birthday with a spectacular balloon release in Albert Square.

18, 18-year-olds will release 999 balloons outside Manchester's Town Hall - each will have a tag on so the first five people who find a deflated balloon when it comes back down to earth and returns it in person to the Manchester Pride office will win a prize!

The balloon release marks the beginning of Manchester Pride's ten day festival.
